As I’m just starting out mountain biking, I had to try several different elbow guards. This one boasts that it hardens on impact which is nice. Although it fit well on the forearm the upper portion was too tight to be comfortable. I didn’t ride in them but did walk around the house to do chores to see how they felt and if I’d get used to them. It’s good quality and looks nice; I’m sure it’d hold up on the trail.

These elbow pads provide low-to-moderate protection from a fall. If you’re looking for hardcore protection, these aren’t your solution. They do cover from my wrist to just below my armpits, with the real protection on the elbow. That’s really what I was looking for. I don’t do big drops or jumps, I just wanted protection from scrapes and bangs on my arms when I go OTB or just down. These do that. I only rated this four stars because the ones that fit me are a bit long and come up to just below my armpits.For me, a bit too long. They’re also a bit warm in warm weather. All-in-all, though, they fit the bill, and are worth the price!

Sweaty underneath after a few hours of riding but they’re machine-washable. Well-built and so far they seem to be durable. They’ve been thru the washing machine 3 times so far and I let them hang dry. Still look brand new. I hope to avoid going over the handlebars again but I’ll feel much safer with these on.
