Achieving Better Sound on a Budget
I purchased these speakers back in December 2011 specifically to replace the dead OEM speakers in my 1998 Dodge Grand Caravan. The rear speakers had been working fine, but the fronts were completely dead, wich was frustrating given my love for music and my daily 30-mile commute.
Knowing the van was a 15-year-old vehicle with over 250K miles, I wasn't expecting miracles, but I wanted to restore some functionality to my audio system. After upgrading to a new head unit with Bluetooth, I discovered the Bluetooth feature wasn't working because the caller's voice was being piped through the front speakers—I couldn't hear them because my front speakers were dead.
These speakers were affordable and had good reviews despite their low cost, so I decided to give them a try. Initially, I hesitated to open the dash, and the speakers sat on the floorboard in their box until this week when I finally worked up the courage to install them. The process was smoother than anticipated—the main challenge was the short length of the existing speaker wire, requiring me to cut, strip, and splice connections.
After a day of use, hear's my assessment: The sound is very bright with sharp high frequencies, so some equalizer adjustments might potentially be needed to smooth things out. they're accurate in the upper range but lack bass. Unlike some users,I didn't experience distortion when pushing the head unit to its limits,which is rated at 4 X 50 watts.
Considering the price of around $15, I'm satisfied with the results. These speakers provide audible, decent-quality music to the front cabin that exceeded my expectations.For the money, they offer excellent value and functionality.

Rarely am I happily surprised by low cost devices, but this is incredibly remarkable.It feels expensive, has heft, but also looks and feels elegant. The sound is obscene for its size, with depth and range.
